Jim Hammond & Bill Crittenden have known each other through the Rockin' scene for just over ten years. At a gig in Gran Canaria called 'Put On' by Holiday Rock, these two chaps realized they both were heavily influenced by Elvis, Jerry Lee, The Everley's, Charlie Rich and all the other great players featured on these great records. They knew they were reading from the same book. Being out there for Severn days, they got to know each other and decided to form a band on their return. They decided to go out as a duo with piano, drums and harmony vocals, trying to create something new and different. The odd venue insisted they had a bass player, but these two stuck to their guns and did it their way.
Notching up a great CV of work including festivals, car shows and jive gigs, they then went to record their debut album at Foottapping Records (available to purchase here). These guys can fill a dance floor through one song, producing a huge sound for just two people and after the initial shock you realize they don't need a bass play. Bill says "You can build a house on Jim's left hand", Jim says "Bill sounds like all the cool drummers rolled into one" and even Dave Peacock (Chas N Dave) once said "Ya don't even need me". Make sure you check out their Facebook page.
